Wednesday Evenings are known for going to Bazar Labrin, a popular late afternoon going into the night food market found along
the famous Beau Vallon Beach. Stretched along the beach are many stalls selling a wide range of local food, fresh fruits, local brewed drinks, spices, crafts and souvenirs.
Arriving at Beau Vallon, I make a beeline for one of the most popular stalls in the market which is also home to one of my biggest weaknesses; fresh fried Banana Chips. You will not regret it, they are continuously frying up chips which means you are getting the freshest possible.

Along with banana chips, you have discover many of Seychelles' version of crisps, from Breadfruit Chips, Sweet Potato Chips and Cassava Chips.
Just be aware, they are quite addictive and if you want to try other foods on sale, try to control yourself on the chips.
There are many stalls selling fresh fruit juices and fresh coconuts along with colourful fruits to take home for breakfast the next morning.
Hidden amongst the food stalls you can find a stall selling infused rums with different island flavours from passion fruit to vanilla.

You will also find a Kalou stall, which is a traditional fermented palm sap drink (heads up it has a strong smell to it so if you're sensitive to smells maybe this stall is not for you!).

There is a wide range of mains to choose from, which is quite nice as you can keep coming back to taste them all. You will definitely find the local curries, freshly grilled fish, kebabs (skewers), chapatis and grilled meats. I highly recommend the chapati stall, where you have a selection of curries to chose from but you need to head there early if you want to get your curry of choice, as it runs out quickly.
Another highlight of Bazar is at the centre of it all, you will find a Moutya Band singing away the night around the bonfire.
